Cochrane was represented well at the annual Calgary Stampede 4-H Rodeo, which was held over the weekend from Aug. 19-21.

Nine year old Brady Hambrook is a member of the Spring Bank Rawhides 4-H club, and participated in the 4-H Rodeo for the first time this year.

Hambrook says most of the events he competed in were a success.

"The first one I entered in was Jeopardy Trail, where you have to do lots of obstacles in a certain amount of time, it was fun, and I got third place in that one," he says. "Then I had Thread the Needle where i got fourth place, and my time was 12.9 seconds. My next one was Poles and I got fourth as well."

Hambrook shares he learnt a lot from some of the best riders in the industry through clinics at the rodeo, and he'll definitely be particpating again.

The Calgary Stampede 4-H Rodeo has been showcasing the rodeo stars of tomorrow for 19 years.
