Team Alberta faces Saskatchewan in their first draw tonight at 6 p.m. in the New Holland World Junior Qualifier.

Cochranite Julianna MacKenzie is the lead for Team Crough that earned the right to present Alberta in October.

The rest of the Alberta women's team is formed by skip Elysa Crough, third Quinn Prodaniuk, and second Kim Bonneau. Team members are from various points in the province and play out of Edmonton's Crestwood Curling Club. Mark Johnson is coach.

This World Juniors Qualifying event is a one-off event intended to provide a short-term fix to a problem created by the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of the Canadian juniors in 2020. The men’s and women’s winners will represent Canada at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships from Mar. 5-12 in Jönköping, Sweden.

Following tonight's draw, Team Alberta plays B.C. tomorrow at 1 p.m. They have two draws on Nov. 24, kicking off against Ontario at 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. against PEI. They wrap up pool play on Nov. 25 against New Brunswick at 1 p.m.

All times are stated in Mountain Standard Time.
