As temperatures continue to drop here in Cochrane, it is getting more challenging for parents to keep their kids active and entertained, while not breaking the bank.

Alison Stutz, Studio Director of Snap Dance Studios says that’s exactly why they created the community dance classs. “We have put together what we're calling our community dance program, which is a free class that we want to offer out to Cochrane families during this time. We know parents are always looking for activities for the kids to do at home. So this is a free 45-minute dance class that you can do at your convenience.”

“These classes are perfect for someone who's never danced before, or maybe dabbled in it a little bit, and wants to keep exploring or if it's your first class and you want to see what it's like. No experience necessary.”

She says that there is a little bit of everything to keep your kids engaged.  “We've got classes for ages two to teens, and the classes kind of dive into a little bit of everything from jazz, some ballet, some acro, and hip hop because we know that that's popular and some creative movements.”

The class will be pre-recorded so parents and their kids can access them when it’s best for them.

“We're a small business in town, and we just want to do what we can to keep kids active and engaged, through all this extra time at home.”
