We are quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of face masks becoming a staple of our everyday lives. A new survey done of mask wearers found some pretty fun (and disgusting facts).

The average person wears a mask for 2 hours and 54 minutes every day.

We have spent $28 on coverings and currently have 6 masks in rotation.

Just over 30% of us use disposable masks daily, while cloth masks are the most popular.

Now time for the not-so-fun facts..

The average time between washing our facemasks is NINE DAYS. While 8% of people say they have waited over two weeks between washings.

“Mask-ne” is a real problem. Mask-related acne and breakouts are common among people who wear masks more than four hours a day.

Last but certainly not least.

25% of us have SHARED OUR MASKS. The ages of people most likely to share are between  41 to 56 years old.

What do you think of these stats? Have you been sharing your masks?
