The Cochrane Generals are sitting comfortably in first place in the Heritage Junior Hockey League, maintaining a perfect record after nine games.

The team had no problems this weekend, winning their two games by a large margin.

On Friday, October 7, the Generals didn't give the Ponoka Stampeders any chances, dominating, 16-0.

Twelve Cochrane players got the puck in the net, but Slater Ransom led the scoring with an impressive three goals and five assists.

Goalie, Ryan Simpson, had his first shut out of the season, blocking all 17 shots on net.

On Saturday, the Generals went on to play the Stettler Lightning, winning 7-2.

Connor Rendell led the scoring, with four goals and one assist while Corey Goeson followed close behind, netting three shots.

The Cochrane Generals will be back in action on Friday, October 14 against the Three Hills Thrashers.

Puck drop is at 8:00 p.m. at the Three Hills Centennial Arena.
