A popular local event is coming up this Saturday, December 10 with the 2022 Cochrane Stuff A Bus.

The annual event highlights the holiday season with the spirit of giving when residents are encouraged to literally stuff a bus full of items to give to those less fortunate.

Cochrane & Area Events Society (CAES) acting president Marina Chabbert, says, "We are accepting new, unwrapped toys for families, children, or teens."

CAES is also accepting non-perishable food and cash donations.

As in past years, CAES is also holding its very popular photo booth shoot opportunity with Santa in which they accept a donation for the photo that is emailed to families.

Each year organizers come up with a unique backdrop for the photos and this year is no different. Chabbert says, "We do strive to have a different photo shoot every year and something that is a bit unique so we do not have the typical pictures emailed out. So, our theme this year is "Baking Cookies with Santa" and we actually have a kitchen set up."

The photo portion of the event is very popular and at the time of this story, only 19 spots for photos were open and continue to fill quickly.

The weather looks promising for Saturday and should help to see residents out in full force to "Stuff A Bus" taking place at Canadian Tire from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
