Archery tag? Pound Class? Art Demos? Kickboxing?

The Boys and Girls Club partnered up with Town of Cochrane Recreation Department and Spray Lakes Family Sports Centre to create an all day workshop called Go Girl/Go Bro for the 10-14 age group to have some new experiences and create self-awareness.

This is the first time in the five years it has been running that Go Girl has added the Go Bro to the lineup, opening up to the boys in the community that want to take part in this fun filled day. In addition to many fun activities and prizes, there will be key note speakers to inspire goal setting and relationship building.

Deb Maxwell, Town of Cochrane, Recreation Programmer, says this inspiring program has been very successful and the youth have a blast. The goal of the day is to get preteens to have a chance to try something they may not normally get to do.

"We find this is a nice age group to target to try something new, especially if they aren't already in organized sports."

Go Girl/Go Bro will be held November 19 at Manachaban School from 9-4. For more information, click here.
