In September, Cochrane RCMP responded to ten break and enters in the Gleneagles neighbourhood as well as two armed robberies in Rocky View County.  

During one of the robberies, firearms were stolen with one victim being bear sprayed and another having a firearm pointed at them.  

The Cochrane Crime Reduction Unit discovered that the stolen firearms had been trafficked which led to search warrants being executed at a Calgary residence on October 28, 2022, and another on Stoney Nakoda First Nation on November 1, 2022.  

As a result of the search warrants, over $18,000 worth of stolen property was recovered including stolen firearms, ammunition, 16 stolen credit cards, and 18 stolen identity documents such as driver’s licenses, passports, and birth certificates.  

Tylen Poucette, aged 26, a resident of Stoney Nakoda First Nation has been charged with 12 offences including robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, and break and enter.  

Koda Crane-Dixon, aged 25, a resident of Stoney Nakoda First Nation has been charged with 18 offences which include robbery with a firearm, break and enter, and possession of a firearm contrary to a firearm prohibition.  

Lucas Healy, 24 years of age, from Calgary, has been charged with robbery to steal a firearm, trafficking a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.  

Sebastian Musdovic, aged 45 from Calgary has been charged with four counts of possession of stolen property.  

Healy, Poucette and Crane-Dixon were remanded into custody. Healey will be appearing in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 14, 2022. Poucette and Crane-Dixon will be appearing in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 15, 2022. Muskovic was released to appear in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 28, 2022.
