​​​​​​We'll be looking for plenty of ways to stay cool over the next few days. 

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Cochrane and surrounding areas.

The warning was put in place because temperatures reaching or exceeding 29 degrees Celsius are expected for the next three days.

We're being reminded to stay safe during this heat wave by trying to reschedule outdoor activities during the cooler parts of the day.

Making sure to take frequent breaks from the heat, and to spend time in a cooled indoor space when possible.

Don't forget to drink lots of water and other non-alcoholic and non-caffeinated drinks to stay hydrated. 

Make sure you double check for your children and pets before leaving your vehicle.

Heat stroke and heat exhaustion is a risk with these warm temperatures and we're being reminded to watch for symptoms of these including high body temperatures, lack of sweat, confusion, fainting and unconsciousness.
