With daytime temperatures expected to climb from 29 degrees to the mid thirties, Environment Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Cochrane and area.

We're being reminded to stay safe during this heat wave by trying to reschedule outdoor activities during the cooler parts of the day.

Making sure to take frequent breaks from the heat, and to spend time in a cooled indoor space when possible.

Don't forget to drink lots of water and other non-alcoholic and non-caffeinated drinks to stay hydrated. 

Make sure you double check for your children and pets before leaving your vehicle.

Keep an eye out for symptoms of heat stroke or heat exhaustion. That includes high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, fainting and unconsciousness.

  • Mountain View Co. near Carstairs and Stirlingville
  • Mountain View Co. near Cremona and Water Valley
  • Mountain View Co. near Olds and Didsbury
  • Mountain View Co. near Sundre
  • Rocky View Co. near Airdrie and Crossfield
  • Rocky View Co. near Bottrel and Madden
