Calgary Police Service has confirmed human remains located near Morley are those of missing 22-year-old Calgary man Keanan Crane and are treating the investigation into his death as suspicious.

Crane was last seen in the northeast community of Whitehorn on Apr. 11, 2022 at about 10 p.m. His family reported his disappearance on Apr. 25.

"Keanan’s family members are devastated by this discovery and believe there are people that may know what happened to him," states Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit Staff Sergeant Sean Gregson in a news release. "Though his remains were found on the Stoney Nakoda Nation, we know that Keanan resided in Calgary and we encourage anyone with information to come forward to police."

The Cochrane RCMP located human remains near Morley on May 15,  prompting efforts by law enforcement to identify the individual through DNA at the scene.

Anyone with information about Keanan’s activities and who he may have been with prior to and after April 11, 2022, is asked to contact police by calling 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through any of the following methods:
