The Turner Valley RCMP are in search of an unidentified male who fraudulent withdrew over $26,000 from an unsuspecting person.

The man attended an ATB Financial branch in Airdrie on July 6, produced falsified identification and obtained a debit card. The suspect had a working knowledge of the victim’s name, social insurance number and date of birth.

Over the next 24 hours, withdrawals were made exceeding $26,000 from various sites in and around Calgary. The locations of the withdrawals included the Grey Eagle Resort and Elbow River Casino.

This suspicious and out-of-character activity caused the bank to lock down the victim's account at which time the thefts and impersonation were discovered and reported to police.

Turner Valley RCMP are asking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect or information in relation to this incident. Please contact Turner Valley RCMP at 403-933-4262 or the Cochrane RCMP at 403-851-8000.
