Lonestar is coming with Sawyer Brown and special guests Doc Walker and George Canyon to The Big Four Roadhouse at Stampede Park tomorrow night.

91.5 FM CochraneNow’s Lauren and Eric got to catch up with Lonestar’s Dean Sams. “I gotta say we have a great history with Calgary in particular,” explained Sams. “When I first put the band together, our first trip out as a band we came to Calgary during Stampede, and we were playing in Ranchmen's.”

“I gotta be honest. I don't remember a lot about that week. I mean, the folks there know how to party for sure, especially during Stampede.”

From humble beginnings playing as the day band at the Calgary Stampede, Lonestar has gone on to have 10 number-one hits and 22 singles to hit the top 10 on the charts.

Cochranites heading to the city for the show can expect to hear mega-hits like "I'm Already There",  "No News", and "Amazed”.

“I learned a very long time ago that you know, even though this might be the millionth time we played a song it's the first time for somebody to hear and it's all about making that experience for them.”

“We packed a ton of big ol hits into the show and then at the very end we always like to throw in a surprise with every show and we've thrown a little curveball out and I'll just put it this way. We've done three shows in Canada so far, and all of them have been sold out and when we get to this surprise moment that I'm telling you about I mean, every person in the arena has been standing on their feet, just waving their arms singing along and with this big look of oh my god, are they really? So I hope everybody comes out to see this show. It is one heck of a show with all the great acts are on it.”
