Long-time resident Stu Bradley is seeking an interpreter for a special birthday celebration for a Ukrainian refugee this Sunday in the Historic Downtown.

Stu wants to make the birthday special for Illeana, who has come to Cochrane with her two boys. Language is proving to be a barrier to making it memorable.

The birthday celebration will be taking place at the Rockyview Hotel starting at 12:30 p.m. It's located right by MacKay's Ice Cream on 1 St. W.

"Come down, I'll buy you lunch, and you can be the interpreter and make her feel very special. Let's show the Ukrainian people that we care here in Cochrane.
