Alberta Beef Producers is gearing up for another round of fall meetings across the province.

Meetings start Thursday, October 24 and run until Wednesday, November 13.

Director of Zone three, which includes Foothills County, Chris Israelson, says the upcoming year is a significant one.

"We're going through a plan review, which is a good opportunity to change some structure and some bylaws with the organization. We definitely look forward to some input from producers on how we can improve the Alberta Beef Producers."

While they're looking to gain feedback, Isrealson says it's also a good time to learn about the work the Commission is doing on behalf of producers at both provincial and national levels.

He says they'll be collecting resolutions at the events.

"If producers have something that they want to see done within industry, it's a good opportunity to come forth, bring your resolution to the meeting, where you and your fellow producers can vote on that resolution, and that's how we kind of set policy and procedure."

Zone three meetings are at the Cochrane RancheHouse on Wednesday, November 6 and at the Strathmore Golf Club on Thursday, November 7.

There's also a Zone two meeting at the Stavely Auction Market on Thursday, November 7 which includes producers in the MD of Willow Creek and MD of Ranchland.
