A 51-year-old man has died following a tragic crash near Banff yesterday.
It happened just after 5 p.m. Monday when a pedestrian was struck by a semi on Highway 1 at Banff Avenue.
The man, from Harvie Heights, Alberta was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RCMP collision reconstructionist was called out to the scene.
Traffic was rerouted in the area until midnight Tuesday.
The investigation continues but RCMP say no further updates are anticipated.
