If you are looking to support local jewelry designers, photographers, florists, and much more, there is a new mini, indoor pop-up market taking place every Saturday this summer. Located in historic downtown Cochrane at Evexia Travel, the market aims to be a place for all different kinds of local booths to set up.

Julia Lutchman, the owner of Evexia Travel, says that the market was designed to focus on local vendors and artists "Every weekend we're gonna have a different variety of local business owners and venders that will be there. Last weekend we had a local florist that was there providing different types of arrangements that you can take home like fresh flower bouquets or different succulents, things like that. There was home decor and handmade jewelry, local photography, that kind of thing. Each week will be different."

"Markets are something that we've always enjoyed going to, and have noticed that besides the Farmers Market, which is amazing and I love going to that as well, but there hasn't been anything else available since everything shut down from COVID so I wanted to try to create a miniature version of those. I know there's a lot of vendors out there that are looking for somewhere to display their creativity and their business."

Lutchman also wants to make sure they are taking every precaution to be extra safe and adhere to all of Alberta Health Services guidelines."We're putting it as a mini-market so that there's only between three and five vendors, each one is depending on how much space they need for their displays. We monitor how many people come in just to make sure that there is that space that we need and also we have all the hand sanitizer and cleaning that is needed."

The Mini Pop-up Indoor Market runs again this Saturday, July 18 with plans to run for the summer. To find out more details on the vendors for each week, check out Evexia Travel's Facebook page.
