MLA Peter Guthrie will be serving up pancakes in Cochrane this Thursday, July 15.

In honour of the Calgary Stampede and return to pre-pandemic life, the Airdrie-Cochrane MLA says that there's plenty to celebrate.

"We're happy to have COVID behind us," says Guthrie. "We're open for the summer and open for good! This is just a 'thank you' to everyone in Cochrane and all of the constituency for that matter."

Guthrie says that on top of a free pancake breakfast they have some other fun plans in the works.

"We're planning on full steam ahead," says Guthrie. "We'll have prizes to put your name in for draws, the weather looks great -- so yeah we're inviting everybody to come on down and enjoy a Stampede breakfast."

The Stampede Breakfast hosted by MLA Peter Guthrie is a free event and it's open to all ages.

"It's Thursday morning from 7:30 to 9:30," says Guthrie. "I'll be flipping flapjacks all morning."

The Breakfast is taking place outside of Guthrie's office at 60 Railway Street East in Cochrane.
