The Cochrane Lioness are getting ready to host the Fall Mom to Mom Sale.

Over 35 moms will be selling off their second hand clothes, toys, maternity wear, and equipment with a portion of sales going right back into the Cochrane community.

Lioness Jackie Mackenzie, part of the organizing committee, says the sale provides a great opportunity for moms to save money and recycle their wares, as well as be an easy shopping experience for buyers.

"Everything is going to be sorted per size and gender so it will be so much easier, the pricing will also be universal; for a faster shopping experience."

All sellers are required to donate a small portion of commissioned sales back to the Lioness which goes directly back into the local community.

"We are 100% non profit; we do we so school scholarships, we donate to the Children's Hospital,  we do meals for the Ronald McDonald House, locally we do 4-H, we donated money to the backpack program."

The event in the past has attracted hundreds of shoppers looking for a deal or two.

Mom to Mom Sale is running October 1, 9-5 am in the east gym at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre, admission to the sale is $2.

The Lionesses are a growing group with roughly 20 members, and are looking for more ladies to join them. If you would like more information on Cochrane's Lioness program you will find it here.

The next events hosted by the Lioness will be a Christmas market on November 19, and the Festival of Trees.
