Town officials are giving motorists a heads-up about a new 3-way stop being installed on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at the intersection of Grande Ave. and Railway St.

In anticipation of The Station at Cochrane Crossing completion this fall, the new 3-way stop will modify the traffic flow in the area to accommodate future traffic and provide a safe crossing for pedestrians.

“The Station at Cochrane Crossing will be a hub for transit, non-vehicular and pedestrian activity,” states Shane Hubl, the town's operation services director in a news release issued today. “The modification to the intersection will be made to enhance safety and allow traffic to move more easily on and off Railway Street.”

The 3-way stop will be enforced immediately following the completion of the sign installation and crosswalk painting.
