Exploring Cochrane and area means literally having an adventure in your backyard.

There are numerous adventure packages that residents can partake in right on their doorstep.

From paddleboarding lessons to interpretive raft trips on the Bow River right in Cochrane to horseback riding, rock climbing, and the Wolf Dog Sanctuary just outside of town.

The adventure package providers are looking to put the lost summer of 2020 behind them and are excited to be able to get back to work providing adventures for one and all in 2021.

With the provincial government’s plan of Open for Summer to move to Stage 3 on July 1, the sky is the limit for the fun that can be had in our area.

From now to June 30, if you book an adventure package for July, you will receive 10% off the price plus, you will be entered to win yet another package.

Jo-Anne Oucharek, Cochrane Tourism Association executive director says, "I think people are ready to go try some new things and so this is a great way to go play in your backyard and support local and try something new and get out and enjoy summer. This is to kick off the re-opening and help our local tour operators get back on their feet."
