Packing the stands today will give the Cochrane Generals a boost in their battle to stay alive in the south division semifinals of the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

A 5-3 loss in Medicine Hat Friday night has given the Cubs a 3-1 series lead. A loss today would eliminate the Gens from the playoffs.

The puck drops at 5:30 p.m. at the Cochrane Arena.

The Gens and Cubs were tied at two going into the third of the Feb. 27 game. A rough and tumble third saw the Cubs outscore the Gens 3-1 for the win.

The top-scoring line of Dean Olenyk, Patrick Forde, and Justin Giacomin scored all three of the Gens' goals.

In the other south division semifinal, the Okotoks Bisons have swept the High River Flyers and are awaiting the winner of this series.
