Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre (SLSFSC) is hosting it's 5th annual Pickleball Tournament.

71 teams will hit Totem 1 on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5 for the fast paced, action packed tournament.

Pickleball is described as combination of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. It is a fast growing and well attended sport at SLSFSC and can be played by all ages and abilities.

MJ Stead, Guest Services Supervisor says, the sport is great for beginners all the way up to the seasoned player.

"The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast paced, competitive game for experienced players."

Pickleball can be played both indoors and out.

Stead invites the public to come on down and cheer the teams on.

The tournament will be running Saturday, June 4 from 8:30 am to 8 pm, and Sunday, June 5 from 8:30 am- 6 pm.
