The identity of the pilot killed in a plane crash on Friday, April 22 near the Springbank Airport is 45-year-old Michael James Wilton of Calgary.
Wilton, the president of a local aircraft sales company, was piloting the 1981 Mooney M20K aircraft when it crashed along Highway 1 near the Springbank Airport.
A 22-year-old woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the cause of the crash.
