Hendricks adds, the club now has a couple weeks in between competitions and will continue to work on technique and push volume especially for those swimmers swimming long distances.

"The beginning of the season we start with technique and as the season progresses especially when we get big breaks from swim meets like this it's a great opportunity to up the volume a bit and get some fitness underneath them. All the older kids especially who swim like a 400m free or 200 IM you need to have that aerobic background in order to be able to to compete in those events."

The Piranhas next meet is July 16, hosted by the Calgary Swordfish at the U of C pool.
