On Friday June 24, the Cochrane and Area Humane Society will host their last Pajama Party until September.

The event has been held monthly since February and has been well attended, Jaimie Anton, Cochrane and Area Humane Society, Fund Development Officer, says there's lots of kid's activities throughout the evening.

"The kids come in, wear their pajamas, and bring a little snack," she explains. "They get to watch an animal themed movie, and if we have a friendly puppy, kitten, or rabbit the kids will get some cuddle time as well."

Anton adds the Pajama Party educates children on the shelter, but it's not just fun for them.

"It gives the kids a really fun way to get into the shelter. They get to see what we do, and hear about what we do, and get some interaction with our animals. It also gives parents a couple hours off to do whatever they'd like to, go out to dinner, a date, maybe sleeping."

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
