A wide selection of plants, gardening accessories/decor, pots, and books will be available for purchase at the semi-annual plant sale fundraiser of the Cochrane and District Horticultural Society this Saturday. Sept. 25.

It's being staged in the front yard of the Cochrane Public Library from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

The society had tremendous success with its first fundraiser sale in May in support of the public library. This one is being held to raise funds for the Wayfinders Wellness Retreat, which assists those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

This time around, they've received sponsorship from Anything Grows and Branched Out Nursery. Other contributions to the sale will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the library.

To enjoy Saturday's sale, people are required to wear face masks and sanitize, says Jessie Pepin, the library's community outreach and program librarian, with no capacity limits.

The May sale was held online.
