The playoffs get underway this weekend for the Cochrane Chaos.

The team finished fourth in the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League and will meet the first place Calgary Titans starting Saturday at Winsport Arena "C" in Calgary.  Game time is 1:30.

Game two of the best-of-three goes Sunday afternoon at 4:45  at the Spray Lakes Totem One Arena in Cochrane.

The third game, if necessary, is on Thursday, March 2nd at the Cochrane Arena.

There wasn't a lot separating the two teams, despite their positions in the standings.  The Titans finished with a 17-11-3 record while the Chaos were 16-12-2.  The Titans won three of the five regular season meetings between the two teams.

On the Family Day weekend, Cochrane wrapped up their regular season with three games.

A 3 - 1 victory over the Calgary Warriors on Sunday was sandwiched between a pair of losses, 4 - 1 on Saturday to the Central Alberta Amazons, and 4 - 2 on holiday Monday to the Titans.

Despite having to slog through three games in three nights, the Chaos still found time to give back to the community.  They served as coaches during Cochrane Minor Hockey's "girls try hockey" event on Sunday.

The aim was to grow the game they love in the town that supports them.
