Cochranites can take comfort in knowing that they will be able to support local makers and bakers this holiday season, through a Pop-Up Holiday Market running Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from November 6 to December 20th. There will be a least 20 vendors in attendance selling their wares in a COVID safe environment.

The market will be decorated for the holiday season and located in the old IGA building at 609 1St. West.

There is going to be a Kids Shopping Area where kids can purchase a special gift. Items will be priced at $20 and less and will consist of donated items from patrons and vendors. All the proceeds from this portion of the event will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club and The Cochrane and Area Humane Society.

Local business owner and entrepreneur, Kailey Leonzio of Quirk Social says, "Our community is strong and we encourage you to support our economy, our neighbours and friends at The Pop-Up Holiday Market."

Hours will be Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some details are being finalized with the possibility of having a food truck on-site and coffee/hot chocolate for those waiting in line to get in.

Vendors that are interested in signing up can email Kailey at hello@quiksocial.ca for registration information.
