A frightening incident at Rancheview School on Monday, December 12 fortunately ended without injury. 

Parents received a letter from the school's principal Ms.LePan-Smith reporting that an older student had been hit by a car as he was crossing the street in a crosswalk. 

Emergency services quickly responded and the student was cleared of any injuries. 

LePan-Smith met with the school's RCMP school resource officers and the debriefing arrived at the conclusion that the incident was an accident. 

Students are reminded to cross at the supervised east crosswalk directly south of the school.

Drivers are also reminded to adhere to the speed limit and use extra caution when driving near the school.
