Mounties from Cochrane responded to a complaint early Monday morning after receiving word that a firearm had been discharged at a home near Morley. 

When officers got there at around 1 a.m. a vehicle was seen fleeing the residence and the driver rammed it into the police cruiser. 

The driver of the vehicle, which was later determined to be stolen, was arrested and taken into custody. 

Twenty-seven year old Tylane Edward Hunter of Morley is facing five charges including Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, Flight from police and Assault with a weapon on a police officer. 

RCMP have also charged 33-year-old Andrew Leigh Pooreagle of Morley. 

He faces ten charges including Assault with a weapon, Uttering threats, Breaking and entering, Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and Discharging a firearm with intent.

Both men have been remanded into custody and will appear in Cochrane Provincial Court on April 7, 2020. 

No one was injured in the shooting or when the police vehicle was rammed.

RCMP are investigating and are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them.
