A single motor vehicle rollover collision has the RCMP turning to the public.

Constable Kary Moore, says they are wondering if anyone may have seen the vehicle driving prior to the collision occurring yesterday (August 24) around 11 am at Highway 1A and Horse Creek Road.

"A red Ford Explorer (2016) hit a power pole and then rolled. We are still investigating the collision and if anybody did witness this vehicle leave the road to contact the Cochrane RCMP. We are looking for anybody who may have witnessed the driving events prior to the collision of the red Ford Explorer."

A 64-year-old man was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The collision caused a disruption in power for 2700 homes in the areas of West Valley, Sunset Ridge, Heartland, and Heritage Hills.
