Cochrane RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in an investigation of a break and enter to a rural residence on Township Road 272 in Rocky View County.

On Aug. 11 homeowners returned to their residence to find the front door open and lights turned on that had been off when they left.

The homeowners then realized numerous items were stolen from their home sometime between Aug. 7 after 1 p.m. and Aug. 11 before 10 p.m.

The thieves made off with bottles of liquor, a lap top, jewellery, and belt buckles, the estimated value of the property stolen is between $20,000 and $30,000.

Police say they are unsure if this rural break and enter is related to another that occurred sometime between Aug. 8, and Aug. 10.
