Chestermere RCMP In the interest of public safety has issued a warning regarding the release of Trong Minh Nguyen on April 21, 2022, upon completion of his sentence.

Nguyen was in jail for conspiracy to commit murder and counseling an indictable offence which was not committed.  He is described as a Vietnamese male, 5'5, 170 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes

Nguyen has been convicted of previous offences including firearms offences, assault of a peace officer, and failing to comply with his release conditions.

The RCMP explained that they are issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public’s interest to inform the members of the community of the release of Trong Minh Nguyen.

The RCMP believes that there is a risk of significant harm to the health and safety of the public.

Members of the public are advised that the intent of the process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.
