Chief Administrative Officer Al Hoggan has tendered his resignation with Rocky View County, according to Rocky View 2020.

At this point, however, the county has not confirmed his resignation.

In its Rocky View Report, the pro-business and landowner advocacy group stated Hoggan has accepted the position of CAO for the Municipal District of Bonnyville.

"Hoggan has overseen dramatic change at Rocky View County and will be sorely missed," the report states.

"He was instrumental in improving the process for county residents by changing the culture to a 'how do we get to yes' system where ratepayers and landowners were treated with great respect," it continues.

Hoggan came onboard at Rocky View County in December 2018 with vast experience in rural municipal administration as well as senior management roles in the private sector. Just before joining Rocky View County, he was the CAO of Kneehill County.

He was also elected president of the Alberta Rural Municipal Administrators' Association in September 2019.
