As of Friday (July, 8) evening after being offline since early this morning, Rogers Communications is reporting that its wireless services are slowly returning to normal.

The outage was nationwide.

The Rogers network outage impacted mobile, internet, banks, debit purchases, passport offices, and Canada's ArriveCan app.

Roger's Facebook page reads:

"Our wireless services are starting to recover and our technical teams are working hard to get everyone back online as quickly as possible. As our services and traffic volumes return to normal, we will continue to keep our customers updated. As previously announced, we will be proactively crediting all customers and will share more information on that process soon."

The cause of the outage is still unknown, but it is believed not to have been a cyberattack.
