River Ross scored midway through the third to lift the Cochrane Generals to a 1-0 win over the High River Flyers last night.

The road win broke a three-game losing streak by the junior B club in the first of three games this weekend.

Captain Brandon Aab assisted on the goal.

Jordan Lott earned a shut out in his first appearance between the pipes for the Gens, turning away 22 shots.

The Gens are seeking their second straight win tonight, Oct. 5, at home in the second of a home-and-home series against the High River Flyers. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Cochrane Arena.

The Flyers will also be hungry. They remain in the hunt for their first win of the season.

The Gens are also home for their third game of the weekend on Sunday afternoon in their first meeting of the season against the Lomond Lakers. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
