Rocky View County (RVC) has named Rhonda, Keith, Calder, and Dawson Cleveland as the Master Farm Family Award recipients for 2022.

“My heartfelt thanks and congratulations to our 2022 Master Farm Family for all they have contributed to our community,” said Rocky View County Councillor, Greg Boehlke, while presenting the 2022 Master Farm Family award on July 21.

A 4,000-acre grain farm in the Dalemead Region is run by Keith and Rhonda, fourth and third-generation farmers.

The Clevelands are active in the agricultural community and have made a concerted effort to use fertilizers, soil nutrients, and microbes in a progressive manner.

In addition to their contributions to agriculture, the Clevelands are involved, kind, and generous neighbours. They have contributed their time to various neighbourhood organizations, including the Parent Advisory Council, minor hockey, curling, and 4-H. The Cleveland family hosts a meal at the Mustard Seed in Calgary on Easter Sunday yearly.

Since 1989, the Master Farm Family award has been given each year. It honours Rocky View farm families who exhibit excellence in civic engagement, collaborative farm management, technical farm procedures, and involvement in the agricultural business and industry.
