An area on Second St W will have an entrance closure from August 2 to 17, as The Town of Cochrane will be replacing an aging sanitary main.

Troy Sylvaster, manager of Water and Waste Water, says although one entrance to the street will be closed there are other ways to access the area.

"The only thing that is going to be closed is going to be the entrance to that street off of Fifth Avenue," he says. "There's three entrances and exits onto that street, we're closing one of them. There will still be complete access, but there won't always be through traffic allowed because we'll be trenching all the way across the road when we're connecting new services."

He explains if there is no through traffic you can still access a business or building there will still be full pedestrian traffic allowed in the area, even if they are digging right in front of the building you need.
