The Saskatchewan RCMP have reached out to Albertans in hopes of securing information on the whereabouts of 38-year-old Jonathan Dufraine. He's wanted in relation to the death of Zane Kiseyinewakup on Oct. 2 in the Big Island Lake Cree Territory in Saskatchewan.

Police say Dufraine has an outstanding warrant for his arrest and has been charged with manslaughter.  His last confirmed sighting was on Oct. 2 in the Big Island Lake Cree Territory.  He's known to frequently visit the territory, along with Loon Lake, Makwa Sahgaiecan First Nation, and Ministikwan First Nation.  His present location and destination are still unknown.

RCMP say Dufraine is considered armed and dangerous.  If you see him, do not approach but call 9-1-1 immediately.

He's described as follows:

  • 38 years of age 5'6" tall and 130 pounds
  • Short black hair and brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing grey jogging pants, a black sweater, a red ball cap with a black brim, black shoes and a red bandana tied around his neck

Dufraine was last seen travelling in a grey 1995 Chevrolet Lumina four-door bearing Saskatchewan plates 077LPV.  The vehicle has yet to be located and it's not known what vehicle he may be driving now.  

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation with the assistance of the Pierceland and North Battleford RCMP detachments.

If you see Dufraine call 9-1-1 immediately.  If you have information about his whereabouts you should contact your local police detachment.
