Yesterday was one for the books when it comes to the amount of extreme weather warnings and watches being issued for our area.

We were under a severe thunderstorm warning and then minutes later it was upgraded to a tornado warning.

We got hammered on with some heavy rain here in Cochrane but just to the east of us is where the brunt of the storm hit.

Areas around Springbank were hit with heavy rain and hail, causing some major driving headaches along Hwy 1 when large hail came falling down.

There was a report that someone saw a tornado in the Springbank area but we're still waiting on confirmation about that.

For the next hour or so the advisories flipped between warnings and watches and then it was all over by dinner time and we ended up having a beautiful evening.

We've had some crazy weather so far this summer and the forecast is looking pretty hot next week so I would imagine we'll get some sort of weather activity then.

Have you been able to grab any good weather shots this summer? Or maybe you were driving through yesterday's storm?

Let us know
