Minister of Children Services, Rebecca Schulz announced today (Wednesday, February 24) that parents may be eligible for a one-time payment of $561 per child. 

You are eligible to receive the benefit with the following criteria:

  • If you had children enrolled in any form of child care whether it be licensed or unlicensed.
  • If your annual household income is $100,000 or less.
  • If you paid for child care between April 1 and December 31, 2020. 

Parents will need to create a MyAlberta digital ID in order to apply. 

You will need to prove,with receipts, that you paid for child care during the specified period.
