Cochrane Piranhas continue to build up strength and endurance; and results showed it.

Fourty Piranhas took part in the second meet held at the Okotoks Stingrays 2017 Invitational Swim Meet last weekend (June 9,10) which featured 368 athletes from clubs in Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore, Didsbury, High River, Innisfail, Nanton and Okotoks.

Head Coach Breanna Hendriks was extremely pleased with the swimmers' results, especially after back to back competitions.

"We had really good results, especially the breast group they did really well. A lot of kids also never swam IM so that was a big step for them and they did great."

With the Piranhas getting a break before their next meet, Hendriks, says they will get a good training block in.

"We will do a lot of volume and really get that endurance going for the kids and they'll be ready to go. I have a few things that we need to work on after the Okotoks meet, just things I saw in general. So we are going to get down and get everything going."

July with prove to be a busy month with a competition on July 15, July 22nd and another on July 28th to round out the season.  Regionals and Provincials will both then be held in August.
