Cochrane's U13AA and U15AAA baseball teams in Baseball Alberta went undefeated in their opening weekend of regular season play.

The 13U AA Cochrane Crush went undefeated in Olds over the weekend with wins against Olds, Consort, and Okotoks.

The 15U AAA Crush won all four of their games, two against both the Calgary Cardinals and Canadian Pro Baseball Academy Bucks Yellow team.

The 15U AA team also played a couple of exhibition games and open their regular season this weekend.

Cochrane Minor Ball president Corey O'How. who is also head coach of the 15U AAA team, says the teams will be playing multiple games each weekend until early August.

There are also plenty of other teams hitting the diamonds in the 700-player strong organization. There are several Little League teams, softball teams, and young ones learning the fundamentals of the sport.

"It's nice to see everybody again playing," says O'How.  "We've softball, baseball, we have little three and four-year-olds playing blast ball, so it's a lot of fun for everybody."

"There's going to be a lot of baseball played all around town over the next couple of months. People might want to get out and watch it. It's a lot of fun and it's exciting for the kids to have people watching. There's a lot of good ballplayers in the town of Cochrane."
