The call is out for submissions for the public art being included at the Crossing Crossing civic plaza by The Station on Railway St.

The town opened its bidding process just days after appointing six members of the public to form a short-term task force.

It's open to artists who live in the Bow Valley to submit proposals for three planned public sculpture installations.

According to the preamble, the project includes three different opportunities for local artists to create public sculpture installations that reflect the following three themes: Truth and Reconciliation, innovation, and diversity.

The task force will shortlist artist/s based on how their submissions meet the evaluation criteria. The artist will be shortlisted and will be invited to in-person or online interviews with the task force.

The deadline for questions is Dec. 19 and submissions must be received by Dec. 29. Successful bids are anticipated to be awarded in the first quarter of 2023.

The task force and town council have the right to not award any of the submissions, and the town reserves the right to cancel/reissue this opportunity at any time.
