The Canadian Crop Hail Association's latest report shows claims across Western Canada are average compared to this time last year.
CCHA President Rick Omelchenko says member agencies are reporting over 10,000 claims so far across the Prairies.
He says the summer storm season has resulted in about 1200 hail claims in Manitoba, 2700 in Alberta and just over 6000 in Saskatchewan.
"The west side of Saskatchewan, the Macklin area, it really got hit hard. The Nipawin/Melfort area got hit hard, just recently the Yorkton area got hit pretty hard. It's pretty well all across central to southern Saskatchewan."
Omelchencko says adjusters have been busy following up on claims but reminds farmers to leave a check strip in fields for crops that may not have been assessed yet.
