If you have been holding off on heading out to Kananaskis due to the new Conservation Pass introduced this year, tomorrow is your lucky day!

October 16, 2021 will be a free day due to a system outage. "Due to a system outage, you will not be able to buy a pass on October 16. Passes will not be required until after midnight. The system will be back online Sunday, October 17." reads a statement on alberta.ca.

Usually, all personal and commercial vehicles stopping in Kananaskis Country and the Bow Valley corridor have to purchase a Kananaskis Conservation Pass.

The cost is $15 for a personal day pass and $90 for an annual pass, and commercial passenger vehicles with up to 15 passengers will pay $22.50 for a day pass or $135 for an annual pass. The price increases for those with 16 or more passengers to $30 daily or $180 annually.
