Both the Calgary Hitmen and Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL have suspended all team activities after a Hitmen player tested positive test for COVID-19.

The Medicine Hat Tigers have been deemed a close contact because they played the Hitmen on Apr. 5.

There have been no positive test results for COVID-19 within the team cohort of the Medicine Hat Tigers. That includes Cochrane players Caleb Willms and Damon Agyeman.

The WHL will provide further details as they become available.

Six WHL games have been postponed as a result of the positive test, and there's a change in this weekend's schedule.

The Tigers were originally scheduled to play the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Apr. 9, 10, and 12. Instead, the Hurricanes will face the Red Deer Rebels.
