The Team Alberta women's team is tied for first in the B Pool of the World Junior Qualifier after doubling Team B.C. 8-4 yesterday afternoon.

Alberta's  Team Crough scored two in both the first and third end to take an earlier 4-1 lead.

B.C.'s Bowles rink chipped away at the lead, then stole a point in the fifth to narrow Alberta's lead to 4-3. Alberta grabbed one in the sixth, blanked the seventh then added one in the eighth to regain a 6-3 lead. Bowles added one in the ninth before Crough brought home the win with two in the final end.

Today, Alberta plays Ontario in the morning draw and PEI at 6:30 p.m. MST tonight.

Cochrane's Julianna MacKenzie is lead for Team Alberta.

Taylour Stevens' Nova Scotia rink also remains perfect after two in the B pool.

The winning women's and men's teams of the bonspiel will represent Canada at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships in Sweden next March.
