It takes many Whos to build Whoville and it’s being done right here in Cochrane

The Bow Valley Baptist Church is presenting the stage production of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

This is the fifth year for a Christmas production and after an extended break, everyone involved is very happy to be performing in front of a live audience again.

While there are many involved with the production, it is also a family affair for the Wuthrich family.

The show is being co-directed by the mom and daughter team of Moneen (Mo) and Lynay with help from other family members Elisha, Josh, and Tim. Aside from wearing a director’s hat Lynay is also a special effect make-up artist so you can be guaranteed to be in for a visual treat when it comes to makeup.

When it came to deciding what the production would be, Mo wanted to do “A Christmas Carol” (something they had done before) but Lynay had other plans saying, "I thought after the last two years, people needed an exciting kick-off to the holidays." Work on the production started at the end of September and now the Whoville set is up, the paint has dried, and costumes made. Dress rehearsals start this week.

For those that enjoy some live singing, yes there will be some and you are guaranteed some laughs as well.
